How to add a barcode to an existing account
This article details how to add a barcode to an existing Momitalk user's baby profile
- In most cases you shouldn't need to give a user a new barcode since you can scan their existing one to start a new recording session (see "How's to see a user's existing barcode" for more details)
- Issuing a new barcode is useful in scenarios where the client left their phone at home or can't remember their login on the date of their ultrasound so accessing their existing barcode isn't possible so moving forward with issuing a new one to start a new ultrasound session would be recommended.
How to add a barcode to a Client’s Existing baby profile
Follow these steps to locate a client’s existing barcode:
- Open the Momitalk application on the client’s phone.
- Tap the "Ultrasound" icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the small barcode icon in the top-right corner.
- Note: If this icon is not visible, the client does not currently have a barcode registered.
- Their existing barcode will appear at the bottom of the application.
- Swipe right and the option to "Add barcode" will appear
- Click on this option to add their new barcode to their existing profile
