Troubleshooting: Momitalk Frozen During Operation

While rare, prolonged use of Momitalk may occasionally cause the system to freeze during operation. If you experience this issue, follow the steps below to safely reset your Momitalk device and recover your session if possible.

Issue: Stuck on Red Light

Description:

Momitalk begins a recording session normally, but after scanning the “Finish” barcode, the LED remains Red instead of turning Green to confirm the session has ended.


Step-by-Step Recovery Instructions

  1. Retry the “Finish” Barcode Scan

    • Scan the “Finish” barcode one more time to see if the session ends successfully and the LED turns Green.

  2. Wait Briefly

    • If the LED remains Red, wait approximately 5 minutes.

  3. Power Off the Momitalk Mini PC

    • Press the power button once (do not hold it down) located on the front of the Momitalk device.

    • Wait 10 seconds for it to shut down fully.

    Note: If the device does not power off (the light on the power button remains Blue or White depending on your model), press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the light turns off.

  4. Restart the Device

    • After waiting 15 seconds, press the power button once (do not hold) to power the device back on.

    • Allow up to 1 minute for the system to boot fully.

  5. Check the Admin Portal

    • Log in to your Momitalk Admin Portal and search for the ultrasound session using the barcode number.

If the Session Did Not Upload Automatically

Please email us_help@momitalk.com with the following information:

  • The barcode number associated with the session

  • The date the ultrasound was recorded

Our support team will attempt to recover the ultrasound data and will notify you with the status of the recovery process.

⚠️ Note: Recovery is not guaranteed.

 


Alternative Option for Faster Resolution

If your user cannot wait for the recovery process, we recommend re-recording the ultrasound session for a quicker turnaround.
