Fixing Video Signal Issues
Blue/distorted screen during video recordings, flashing red/blue lights even the ultrasound machine is powered on and not in stand by mode.
Possible Causes
- Loose or unplugged video connections.
- The ultrasound machine's video output is inactive.
- Faulty cables, adapters, or capture card.
Solutions
-
Check All Video Connections:
- Verify that the video cable is securely connected to the video-out port on the ultrasound machine.
- Ensure the other end is properly inserted into the capture card’s video-in port.
-
Inspect Cables and Adapters:
- Check for physical damage (fraying, bent pins, etc.) on the cables or adapters.
- Replace any damaged cables with one of the same type.
-
Confirm Ultrasound Machine Output:
- Test the video output by connecting the machine directly to an external monitor.
- If no signal appears, contact the ultrasound machine’s support team.
-
Restart the System:
- Disconnect and reconnect the Mini PC, capture card, and ultrasound machine.
- Reboot the Mini PC and ensure the LED indicator shows green before testing.
-
Test with Spare Components:
- Use a backup HDMI, VGA, or DVI cable to rule out cable faults.
